The Hora
The Hora is a traditional circle Jewish dance where everyone participates, Jews and non-Jews alike. To prepare everyone for this really FUN part of the celebration, we have included some descriptions, how-to articles, and videos.
Be prepared to dance! Young and old grab hands in two circles. Circle to the right, then to the left, then back to the right. Move into the middle and back. Clap! Laugh!
If you're strong enough, you may even be asked to hold a chair above your head. On it may be a family member -- clapping and cheering and holding on for dear life!
